چکیده

This article presents a comparison of different interpolation techniques both in the spatial and frequency domains. Various methods are presented, from a very simple linear interpolation to more complex cubic convolution. The Fourier analysis is used to compare the methods in the frequency domain. Methods are compared by doubling the images in both spatial directions and calculating the signal-to-noise ratio between the original and interpolated images. The paper will also include some notes on subjective image quality.

Attenuation of spatial aliasing in CMP domain by non-linear interpolation of seismic data along local slopes

Spatial aliasing is an unwanted side effect that produces artifacts during seismic data processing, imaging and interpolation. It is often caused by insufficient spatial sampling of seismic data and often happens in CMP (Common Mid-Point) gather. To tackle this artifact, several techniques have been developed in time-space domain as well as frequency domain such as frequency-wavenumber, frequen...

Estimation of Roughness Parameters of A Surface Using Different Image Enhancement Techniques (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Surface roughness measurement is widely used to estimate the quality of the product during manufacturing processes. It has a great importance in manufacturing fields such as ceramic tiles, glass, and iron. Many are using surface profile-meter with a contact stylus to measure the surface roughness of work piece. In the stylus method, a stylus is moved along the surface and the vertical movement ...

Multi-Focus Image Fusion in DCT Domain using Variance and Energy of Laplacian and Correlation Coefficient for Visual Sensor Networks

The purpose of multi-focus image fusion is gathering the essential information and the focused parts from the input multi-focus images into a single image. These multi-focus images are captured with different depths of focus of cameras. A lot of multi-focus image fusion techniques have been introduced using considering the focus measurement in the spatial domain. However, the multi-focus image ...

Performance Comparison of Digital Image Watermarking Techniques: A Survey

Digital watermarking is the processing of combined information into a digital signal. A watermark is a secondary image, which is overlaid on the host image, and provides a means of protecting the image. In order to provide high quality watermarked image, the watermarked image should be imperceptible. This paper presents different techniques of digital image watermarking based on spatial & frequ...
